What’s New

Hello, Friends! What a few years this has been! We are so grateful to all of you who have continued to use the library resources - whether in-person or online. We’re thrilled that in-person programs have returned to the library! The best way to keep current with What’s New at the Canton Branch is to check the calendar on the Enoch Pratt library website.

Seed Sharing Library

Check out the new seed sharing library at the Canton Branch. Take some seeds to start your garden. Share some seed packets you have left over from your planting. Flowers, herbs and vegetables.

To learn more about growing plants from seeds and local resources, contact us at friendscantonlibrary@gmail.com for a copy of the presentation from the Seeds 101 presentation on March 11, 2023.

Fixing up the Gardens

While the inside of the Canton Branch Library had been totally redone the outside gardens remained untouched. 2020 was our chance to tackle the outside gardens by pulling weeds, trimming bushes, planting new flowers and plants and composting. In May 2021 we were fortunate to receive a donation of much needed compost to help our garden flourish. Thank you to Natures Yoke for the compost and explanation of the role it plays in healthy gardens.
